This is the obvious interpretation for the casual viewer, however I like how you extrapolated your analysis to highlight some important and unidentified notions. This is an interesting interpretation on the piece that I definitely wouldn’t normally assume. My inceptive assumptions on this piece of contemporary artwork were of course a correlation between the labelling of promiscuous or racy teenagers and high schools. What I do remember is how the two of us passed the joint back and forth a few more times before my date, having paid for her records now tucked away quietly in two branded tote bags, rushed over to us and, furious at me for getting high in the middle of our date (of course loudly inventing some other reason as to not imply anything about the storeowner) took me by the arm and pulled me out of the place before I could get a chance to bid my friend a proper farewell. As locals who have been through the Australian High Schooling system, the ‘Marbig Name Pencil Case’ is something that all of us can identify with. I found it interesting how you identified the label as becoming re-claimed once lettered across the front of the pencil case.

Expanding on the notion of normalising the word ‘slut’, I like how you identified the pencil case as a mundane object used by adolescents in Australia. She was holding a white placard with the word “BEAT” written on it in bold black lettering, and at the flash of the camera, would switch to a new provocative position with the card in her hands. Her photographer in a white turtleneck and black leather khakis was coaching her from behind a huge inverted umbrella flashing at her like a strobe light-“Beat! Around five people with huge lights and cameras must’ve been having a photo shoot, because standing in front of the lights, set up opposite the front window of an old kosher deli, was a scantily-clad woman in ripped baggy jeans, a thick, brown-leather belt, and a torn white t-shirt posing confidently and spastically for the photographer egging her on. Our low prices, quick delivery, diverse and stylish options, and personal approach to customer service keep people coming back to discover new ways of expressing themselves through interior decoration. It was exactly the type of hackneyed sound bite that would usually make me shudder with embarrassment, but once again coming from this guy it didn’t seem so ridiculous.

You’ll definitely want to check your pockets with this guy around, else you might get bamboozled into an early grave. The delivery guy is scared of me but my money’s as good as anyone’s. We give away 1% of all our earnings to good causes! It’s all about enjoying the concert and having good vibes. Christians would later reflect on this profoundly symbolic action and find a connection to the Holy Eucharist, where Jesus himself becomes food for humanity. With a valid train ticket (disposable ticket, checked-in OV-chip card, e-ticket/mobile ticket) you can jump onboard any standard service to your destination and just find a free seat in your class. Now to gym class hero’s. Gym class had a good performance but it was so awkward when he called Avril a “slutbag” Alex was hella Pissed in the end when he gave a shoutout to everyone! The DreamCloud hybrid mattress is a good choice regardless of your preferred sleeping position.

And there I was, thinking I hadn’t done a good enough job at hiding it… Dr. McQuate’s discoveries are literally not available from any other source, are exclusive to his research and will transform your thinking. Our iced teas are infused with real tea and sweetened with natural juice from upcycled fruits, making them the healthiest and most satisfying iced teas on the market. Without stopping from making the base you can now revert back to normal chain stitch the make the side in exactly the same way that you made the front panel. We lived in the same neighborhood however, so we were forced to walk in the same direction despite our mutual agreement on silence. However, I do believe she is suggesting that labels should not be considered a defining aspect of yourself, rather an insignificant disposable piece of paper thats been used as a temporary tag. In my opinion, that is what made the piece have such a strong impact on me, whilst really engaging my sense curiosity on the topic of under-represented aspects of Australian society. I believe this is what made the piece so startling for me personally.
